Saks Fifth Avenue Return Policy

Saks Fifth Avenue is known for offering a flexible and customer-friendly return policy. Customers can return or exchange items within 30 days of purchase as long as they are in their original condition and accompanied by proof of purchase. Customers can initiate a return or exchange in-store or online and even receive a refund for items purchased online at a physical Saks store. See below Saks 

Additionally, Saks offers free returns for items purchased online. Some exclusions apply, such as final sale items and particular luxury designer merchandise.

If you wish to exchange your merchandise, it must be exchanged in-store (subject to inventory availability).
You can return in the store or online via our self-service portal.
To ensure your return or exchange is accepted, you must present valid proof of purchase and be in a suitable condition for reselling.  

What is your In Store Return Policy?

Items purchased in-store cannot be returned by mail. Make a free return within 30 days by bringing your return to your local Saks with the original or gift receipt. If you’d like to exchange, we’ll help you find the correct item.

Exchange your merchandise

 If you wish to exchange your merchandise, it must be exchanged in-store (subject to inventory availability).

Holiday Returns Made Easy

We understand that the holiday season can be hectic at Saks Fifth Avenue, so we’re making it even more convenient for you to shop. If you purchased between October 15th, 2022, and December 31st, 2022, you’d have until January 15th, 2023, to make a return with no additional shipping costs. All items are eligible for a full refund, including furs, watches, and jewelry. For purchases made after December 31st, 2022, please refer to our standard return policy for further details. We want you to feel confident and satisfied with your purchase, and we’re here to help you every step of the way. 

Follow the guidelines below to proceed with a return:

  • Returns are eligible for a full refund if returned within 30 days with a receipt. Full-price merchandise, except furs, watches, and jewelry, received after 30 days will be credited based on the current selling price. 
  • We will not accept Furs, watches, and jewelry items after 30 days for return from the purchase date.
  • All other items can be returned within one year of purchase for the current selling price at the time of return.
  • To qualify for our free return policy, please initiate your return within 14 days of receiving your item. Returns made after this period will have a $9.95 fee deducted from the refund amount.
  • We cannot exchange, replace or credit gourmet, monogrammed, or personalized items.
  • We recognize that returns are important to our customers. To ensure a positive shopping experience for all our customers, we may restrict or refuse future transactions from such customers if we identify an unreasonable return pattern.
  • For all returns, merchandise must be presented in salable condition; established proof of purchase is required.
  • Returns are only accepted via mail or in a Saks Fifth Avenue store.
  • Items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for return.

Where is my return refund?

Please allow 10 to 14 business days for your return to be processed. Your refund will appear on your original form of payment within the next billing cycle. Please note that this timeframe can take longer during the holiday season. You may track your return status through your return confirmation email by clicking ‘Track Your Return.’ If you still have not received your return refund after the allotted time frame, please get in touch with us immediately at 1-877-551-SAKS (7257) for additional assistance.

If you are expecting a refund for a gift card, a new gift card will be mailed to your shipping address. If you need it shipped to a different address, please contact us here, or call 1-877-551-SAKS (7257) for additional assistance. 

How do I return an item I purchased with a SaksOFF5th or Saks Fifth Avenue gift card or e-gift card?

If your item is eligible for a return, the refund amount will be credited to you on a new Saks Fifth Avenue gift card. If you used another tender to pay for a part of your purchase, it would be refunded to that same tender.
